Was ist zu bezahlen, wie wird abgerechnet?
Da Sie Ihre Domain bei einem Provider/Registrar bestellt haben, gelten
dessen Preise und er erhält die Rechnung der nic.at. Sollte Ihr
Provider/Registrar aus welchen Gründen auch immer nicht an nic.at
bezahlen, verrechnen wir Ihnen die Domain direkt. In diesem Fall gelten
unsere Preise, zu finden unter https://www.nic.at/preise.
Der Registrierungsvertrag ist ein unbefristeter Vertrag, der erst durch
Kündigung der Domain beendet wird. Die Zahlungspflicht erlischt somit
erst, wenn der Vertrag aufgelöst ist. Domains werden von nic.at
jährlich verrechnet - nach Leistungszeitraum. Dieser beginnt am Tag der
Delegation der Domain und läuft jeweils ein Jahr.

Welches Kündigungsrecht haben Sie?
Als Domaininhaber können Sie die Domain jederzeit sofort oder mit Ablauf
des Leistungszeitraumes kündigen. Wichtig: Sie müssen dazu bitte
spätestens einen Tag vor Beginn des neuen Leistungszeitraumes kündigen.
Bitte veranlassen Sie die Kündigung Ihrer Domain direkt bei Ihrem
Provider/Registrar. Auf Entgelt, das Sie nicht ausschöpfen, haben Sie
keinen Rückverguetungsanspruch - auch nicht, wenn die Kündigung vor
Ablauf des aktuellen Leistungszeitraums wirksam wird.

Welches Rücktrittsrecht haben Sie als Verbraucher im Sinne des
Konsumentenschutzgesetzes?

Sie können innerhalb von 14 Tagen ab dem Tag des Vertragsabschlusses
ohne Angabe von Gründen vom Vertrag zurücktreten. Wenn Sie Ihr
Rücktrittsrecht nutzen wollen, reicht das Absenden einer schriftlichen
Information an nic.at vor Ablauf dieser Frist. Ein
Musterrücktrittsformular finden Sie unter https://www.nic.at/ruecktritt.
Mit Ihrem Rücktritt ist der Vertrag ueber die Domain aufgelöst, wir
löschen diese und sie steht jedermann wieder frei zur Registrierung.

Wie verwenden wir Ihre personenbezogenen Daten?
Die nic.at GmbH behandelt Ihre Daten mit größter Sorgfalt und ist um
transparente Kommunikation der Verarbeitung dieser Daten bemüht:
Personenbezogene Daten werden in erster Linie zum Zweck der
Vertragserfüllung erhoben. Soweit zur Erfüllung des Vertrags
allfällige Auftragsverarbeiter herangezogen werden, wird die Einhaltung
der Datenschutzpflichten durch die Auftragsverarbeiter von nic.at
vertraglich sichergestellt und überprüft. Eine Veröffentlichung der
personenbezogenen Daten natürlicher Personen im WHOIS ist ab 25.5.2018
grundsätzlich nicht mehr vorgesehen. Gleiches gilt für die Übermittlung
dieser Daten an Dritte, soweit diese nicht ein überwiegendes berechtigtes
oder öffentliches Interesse nachweisen. Ihre Daten werden

Please note that because you instructed an ISP/registrar to handle the
registration and administration of your domain name, you also entered
into a contract with that party for the services in question.

How much am I required to pay and how will the amount be charged?
As you ordered your domain name through an ISP/registrar, the
ISP/registrar's prices apply, and the ISP/registrar will receive an
invoice from nic.at. Should your ISP/registrar fail to remit the
required amount to nic.at for any reason, then nic.at will charge
you directly. In such cases, nic.at's prices apply (available at
https://www.nic.at/price).
The registration contract is a contract which is concluded for an
indefinite period of time and which can only be terminated by canceling
the domain name registration. Therefore, the obligation to pay for the
domain does not lapse until the contract has been terminated. Domain
holders are charged for domain names annually on the basis of the service
period, which begins on the day of domain delegation and lasts one year.

Rights of cancellation/termination
As the domain holder, you can cancel the domain registration at any time,
effective immediately or at the end of the service period. Important: In
order to cancel your domain registration, you must submit your
cancellation notice at the latest one day before the start of the new
service period. Please contact your ISP/registrar directly to arrange
for cancellation. You do not have a claim to reimbursement of any
fees paid for services not used in their entirety, even in cases where
the cancellation takes effect before the current service period has
ended.

Right of rescission for consumers as defined in the Austrian Consumer
Protection Act
As a consumer, you have the right to rescind the contract without
specifying reasons for doing so within 14 days of the date on which the
contract was concluded. If you wish to exercise your right of rescission,
it is sufficient to notify nic.at in writing before the 14-day period has

When you submit a written notification of rescission, the contract for
the domain name is dissolved; nic.at will delete the domain registration,
and the domain name will be made available for anyone to register.

Data Protection & Privacy Policy
nic.at is processing your personal data with diligence according to the
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). We strive for communicating
our processing activities in a transparent and intelligible form:
Primarily personal data is processed as far as necessary for the
performance of the contract. Where processing is to be carried out by a
processor, it is governed by a contract, which ensures compliance with
the GDPR. As of the 25th of May 2018 personal data of natural persons
will not be published in the WHOIS database anymore. Furthermore there
will not be any disclosure by transmission of personal data to a third
party without proof of outweighing legitimate or public interests.
Personal data shall not be used for advertising puposes of third parties.
